What information do we collect and why?
In general, we do not collect information that you do not explicitly provide to us. However, when you visit our site or interact with our emails, we may collect:
- your IP address,
- your approximate location (for example, the country you live in, but not your home address),
- your user agent.
We collect this information to improve Revolution. For example, knowing that many people from other countries are interested would help us budget for providing travel grants to people.
When you sign up to get emails from us, we store your email so that we can send you an email later.
How do you store my data?
We store and process your data with various third-party services. Here are some of our third-party services and their data processing agreements:
Your data is encrypted at rest and encrypted in flight using secure encryption algorithms. We take your personal information seriously, and our team members only have access to the data they need to carry out their work.
When will you delete my information?
We will securely delete your information soon after the event, and no later than one year after you have provided it to us. If you would like your information deleted sooner, you may reach out to us at hello@revohacks.com.
What are my rights as a data subject?
Under the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights:
